The DCGITS was established on May 19, 2008, when more than 20 organisations and it-security experts inaugurated the council.The purpose of the council is to discuss holistic it-security and privacy challenges that affects the world of today and the world of tomorrow. The council hence discuss technological as well as socio-economic challenges posed to the current society in the transition to the next generation of digital service-society. The Council acts through influence on politicians, parliamentarians and media - as well as through stakeholders from private, public and research. The elected chairman of the board is Christian Wernberg-Tougaard and the vice chairman of the board is Kim Aarenstrup. Structure of DCGITS.The Council has been established on a democratic balance between private interests, public sector interests and research interests.
